I completed a BA in Journalism from Marquette University. My concentration was in magazines, so I studied layout and photography as well.
Knowing that I wanted to become a creative director, I went back to school and took classes toward a second BA in Graphic Design from community colleges in both Milwaukee and Fort Wayne, as well as online classes with Southern New Hampshire University.
Here are a few examples of my graphic design work. All photography in these examples was also art directed by me.

I photo art directed the following emails in addition to writing copy and editing all off-figure product photography.
I always write with my audience in mind, crafting my voice to appeal to our target customer. The following examples showcase some of my favorite corporate emails and website banners. I wrote all copy, including naming the items.
I executed all stages of this Platinum by Matilda Jane photoshoot from concepting through final production. I designed the set, art directed and styled the shoot, and handled post-production photo editing.
The final images were used for promotional emails and social media.

I have the opportunity to add hand-drawn elements to my work from time to time. While there are many beautiful fonts out there, I enjoy putting pencil to paper and coming up with something that is unique. I think the imperfections of hand lettering are what make it so engaging.
